Extent of the Problem
The Current Projector Screen in school
- When we pull the overhead projector screen down, it does not stay down.
- When we retract the overhead projector screen, it gets jammed along the way.
- After a long time, the jamming of the screen results in a tear in the projector screen.
- Due to wear and tear, the mechanism of the screen will weaken, resulting in more problems.
- We would have to replace the projector screen which is very expensive
Our Proposed Solution
- Changed the spring mechanism to a pulley system
- Changed the roller screen to a system that works like the Roman Blinds
- Implement a locking mechanism at the top to ensure the screen is locked at its position
- Will not get jammed as you are pulling the screen up.
- On the way down, due to gravity, the screen will stay down.
- Weight added at the bottom of screen to ensure that it does not flap when windy.
